Well, crap.
Jan. 26th, 2009 07:41 amGet to work, only to find out that my trusty thermos of hot tea has b0rked; to wit, the glass inner is now separated from the plastic outer, and is accompanied by a sort of grinding glassy noise.
The discovery was attended by several leaks. Luckily for me, this is just hot tea (without any milk), so the clothing, desktop and papers are just slightly stained. Also luckily for me, I have a hot water carafe into which I gave the hot tea for today's keeping. I'll have to go by the grocery store to get a new thermos tonight.
The milk, which I store in my little refrigerator, is solid. It froze. This happens, so it is not a disaster, merely helpful storage of perishable produce. I park the container on the floor next to the computer, and let it gradually melt.
In the meantime, hot tea without milk and no cereal for breakfast.
