I didn't know you'd been a firefighter. That's fun history -- I can only imagine the consternation in the fire department when Dad refused to release their budget -- wish I'd been a fly on the wall that day.
I'm sorry to hear about the two boys, o'course. Minds me of some history of my own, which I think I'll post in my own journal today, about a woman who died in/resulting-from a car crash, a sweet woman and colleague with whom I was in the process of becoming friends.
I hope God the Creator has a good explanation for creating a universe which allows as much pain, loss, and tragedy as this one does.
