Sep. 17th, 2009 04:06 pmI got this from Honey, who heard it with her own ears, since she works in this Institute:
NIDA Director Nora Volkow was in a meeting, discussing the possibility of getting access to information in a database maintained by another agency, to which the response was No, they won't give anyone access to this data. So she says, "At least the door is open for future discussion (on this)..", and the reply was No, the door is sealed shut on this. To this, Dr. Volkow replied, "At least there is a door!"
My partner considers this to be the height of optimism. How about it? Do you see a door, or do you give up?
