Memo
To: Mother Nature

1. Despite your best attempts to induce me to hack up a lung, the best I can come up with is just mucoid blobs.
2. All this production scares the cats.
3. Also? A respiratory virus that affects my lower back? So not right. Please to be fixing.

Sincerely,
Grumpy Bear onna heating pad

Memo
To: Participants in GCAD09 (the ones who continue to fail at understanding, and the new fail)

1. When happening onto this this topic for the 1st time (oh, really?), do not (a) demand an executive summary from the host (Google it yourself, fercryin outloud.) ; or (b) immediately thereafter employ the Tone Argument. That's 2 strikes.

2. When seething about the Injustice! of it all, (AKA "How dare they call me racist"), do not then "out" them just because you think you're right. The ends never justify the means, and now you've used tactics that you claim were used to hound you. You should know better. SHAME ON YOU.
Grumpy Bear

No, I'd rather they suffer solo, tyvm.

Although one thing I've discovered that sucks worse than a cold is a cold in 85-degree desert weather.

In such circumstances what is required is (1) tea and (2) sympathy. I can supply (2), but not, alas, (1).

I've got (1) covered, thank you kindly. Now if I could just get some energy back, that would be the ticket.

Phew. It's not even lunchtime and I'm wore out.

There's a nasty flu bug going the rounds. I had it a few weeks ago. You have my deepest sympathies.

I really hope I don't have the flu, because man -- (a) got the vaccine and (b) ..uh, I forget what else I was going to say. Sheesh.

I got the vaccine, and still got the flu. It doesn't protect against all strains, and the beggar can mutate like nobody's business.

Oh, I know that -- I still get vaccinated because the first year I started getting it, I was back on my feet in a week while everyone else was dragging for a month.

No, I just meant this was nasty enough to be the unvaccinated variety.

I'd offer to lend you a massage cat, but he gets so agitated every time I close the box :(
