It must be that dratted Man U icon. I rue the day I ever read any British mystery. (she said guiltily, as she slid the latest Deborah Crombie under the pillow)
I actually happened to be in a pub downtown whilst Man U was on telly. Yes, DC has a pub or two, of the dreaded "Irish Theme Pub" sort, but it has a large screen TV and they show the games for the fans, who line up along the bar with their pints. We popped in for a bite and watched a bit of the game, quite accidentally. I forget who the other team was.
Americans do the same thing with their football games, as I was in a pub in St.Louis that had at least a dozen TVs on, showing the three or four games that day. It was the only place open in downtown St. Louis on a Sunday afternoon, so I braved the smoke and had a decent hamburger.
I'm rambling, aren't I? Comes of being at home watching a sick child and consuming many cups of tea. Well, many more than I usually get to consume. Oh, and re-reading a Dick Francis. I blame him for all this blather.
Yes, clicky things are evil, but you've led me down the dark path a few times now. I'm passing those evil things on, just lent a few books to a friend last night (Karen Traviss and Charles Stross..she already has a few Dave Freer and Misty Lackey books at home). So.

I'm rambling again, aren't I?
