It's serge_lj's birthday, this time for real

..so we must celebrate with poetry, puns, and Sci Fi! I tried to write something poetic, punny, and related to science fiction, but before I even started I realized I needed something important: I needed some music to get me in the right frame of mind. But which music would be best for Serge's birthday puns? Decisions, decisions -- I needed to take a walk and clear my mind!

So I strolled down the hill, passed the graveyard, and noticed some music coming from one of the graves. It happened to be the grave of a musician, who I was not familiar with, but I realized what was happening: he was decomposing.

Perfect!

Now I just need some poetry and some science fiction.

Once, a fine fellow named Serge
Gave in to his sudden urge
For punning mightily
And making light (will he
Then become known as the Surge?)
