We are about to begin our renovation project; starting Tuesday with the demolition of the existing "room". I've taken the week off to use up vacation time (I'm in "use or lose" time) and we'll be watching closely as they tear down the crappy stuff, dig out the new basement room, and (one hopes) pour the foundation. Later they'll put up the framework for the structure. Once the outside is properly closed in, they'll come through the walls and begin the renovation part.

It's gotten much colder lately, and we're economizing by keeping the thermostat around 60 degrees (around 18-19 C), which means wearing many layers to sleep in. Hooded sweatshirts are heavenly. Also, it is now time to crank up the humidifiers, as the relative humidity has dropped to around 19% (higher in some rooms than others).

The Washington Redskins are playing the Dallas Cowboys. Since the Skins got rid of LaVar Arrington, I've turned against them -- but I'm torn today, because I've never liked the Cowboys. For years, they've been a bunch of arrogant drug-using jerks. I find myself rooting for the Skins, just out of habit. ;-)

Fourth quarter, game is tied, with just over five and a half minutes of game time to play. Guess I'll log off and watch the last bit.
