Animal Rights Extremists Terrorize Researchers
In the news yesterday, UPI reported that a neurobiologist at UCLA gave up doing his research because of a campaign of intimidation by ARE, including an attempted firebombing at another person's home.
It's one thing to be a vegetarian and pacifist who disagrees with the notion of doing research on living beings. It's entirely different to violently attack people who are doing research, putting the lives of their families, friends, coworkers and neighbors at risk. These people don't really care about the animals; they simply wish to commit destructive acts and then claim a "higher purpose". Rodney Coronado is going back to jail for such destructive acts. Jerry Vlasak probably will join the rest of his group in jail too. Kevin Jonas may change his name all he wants, but he's just another criminal attempting to avoid prosecution -- but the FBI and state investigative agencies have identified them all as domestic terrorists, and have committed funds to collect evidence, prosecute them, and put them away for as long as possible.
One FBI agent told us that it's only a matter of time until ARs kill someone, and that will be felony murder even if accidental.
