First of all, there's the lack of space. No, wait -- first of all, this one's upstairs and not in our bathroom. Second is the lack of space in any of the bathrooms -- this house is more than 50 years old, and the bathrooms are consequently smaller than the more modern houses have. Giving our son the ultra-expensive all-the-mod-cons Japanese toilet unit would be..how shall I put this? Folly? Mad? Not really a good idea?
The child needs no excuses to spend more time "in the library". If you know what I mean, and at this point, he really is reading.
Perhaps in our later years, after we've renovated the master bedroom and family room (into one giant room) and enlarged the current master bath, and have space for such a luxury, then we might consider it. Just for the arthritis and all, you know.
